Confronted with an industry largely dominated by a handful of monopolistic players, Rayon Vert and Abicsi joined forces to create independent eyewear, for the mountains.
Wormhole frames are made from laser fused Nylon powder. They are formed through a process called selective laser sintering. After sintering, the frames are batch dyed, under pressure, to maximize colour fastness. Each pair of frames is individually finished by hand.
Wormhole lenses are made by Zeiss from a resin called CR-39. They offer superior optics, comparable to glass, at approximately half the weight.
WORMHOLE TECHNOLOGY hidden in the arms of the glasses, allow for seamless drawstring integration to generate maximum face grip when you need it most.
Wormholes are crazy flexible, and light, weighing only 22..8 grams (24 grams including the lanyard).
The glasses come with a velcro bag handmade and printed in Abicsi Studio in Toronto, Canada.
The box they come in is made of recycled cardboard, hand screen printed in Abicsi’s studio in Canada using only water based ink produced using only solar energy.
The Wormholes Sunglasses weigh 22,8 grams without lanyard, 24 grams with it.
