Grappa Verde is a new silhouette designed by Rayon Vert and made in the DIEMME factory. It takes loose inspiration from two DIEMME shoes, the Grappa Hiker and the Movida approach shoe.

The upper is made from a houndstooth wool in dark red, brown and beige, a deadstock fabric from the DIEMME archive. Originally sourced from an English supplier some years ago, it was brought back out and selected together with Rayon Vert. We produced as many pairs as the remaining rolls allowed. There will be no more.

The shoe closes with a cord and lock instead of traditional eyelets. Waxed military suede covers the toe, tongue and heel, while the tongue and side half-moon are perforated with a pattern developed by the two brands together. Both logos run down the centre tape.

Inside, the shoe is finished with a leather lining and a neon green insole printed for the collaboration. The rubber band is applied and chamfered by hand.

The Vibram RGS Hiker sole keeps its original yellow sidewall lettering.
