THE EVENT
The event will take place on 09th and 10th of May 2026 at La Campeggia, Costa Vescovato (AL).
Ring Of Fire aims to be a multi-layered experience, territorial and relational, that reaches its peak during the 21km collective trail run. A two days event during which participants will camp in nature, share time and stories with people who have a common passion and discover local culture and products.
RUN COURSE
The trail run through hilly and lower mountain terrain, with occasional short technical sections. Proper footwear and equipment are required.
The route mainly follows unpaved paths, including gravelled local roads, dirt tracks with grassy surfaces, dirt tracks with earthy surfaces (mud may be present after rain), footpaths within the official hiking network.

The run follows a single 21 km loop. There will be no water available along the route, but there will be one aid station roughly at the halfway point. We recommend bringing your own water supply based on your individual needs.
Participants will be divided into different pace groups, with the slowest group taking approximately 4 hours to complete the run.
PROGRAM
The weekend is structured over two days (Saturday and Sunday).
On Saturday, May 9th, you’ll be able to check in at La Campeggia in the morning (we recommend arriving early), where we’ll begin with a short introduction to the event. After the briefing, you’ll have time to set up your tent, followed by a light lunch before the group run.
The run will last up to approximately four hours. Afterwards, there will be time to shower and relax before dinner.
The collective dinner will take place in the courtyard of Valli Unite farm, where we’ll enjoy local food and wine, accompanied by music curated by invited selectors, carrying us into the evening.
On Sunday, May 10th, the day will begin with a yoga session led by Veronica, designed to stretch and recover after the previous day’s run. This will be followed by a talk with Arc’teryx athlete Edoardo Rossano and POW, exploring sustainable approaches to the world of trail running.
The day will continue with lunch at La Campeggia, after which you can unwind with live music before departing the campsite around 5:00 PM.
HOW TO GET TO THE CAMPSITE
La Campeggia camping is located in Costa Vescovato (AL), a small village in the Tortona hills. It’s reachable by car from Milan (approx. 90 minutes), Genova (approx. 105 minutes) and Turin (approx. 105 minutes).
We will create a Whatsapp group where you can get in touch with the other participants and organize the commuting to the campsite by sharing your car, in order to be as sustainable as possible.
Alternatively you can reach Tortona by train:
- Genova → Tortona (50-60 minutes)
- Milan → Tortona (about 60 minutes)
- Turin → Tortona (about 90 minutes)
And get to the campsite with a pleasant bike ride that should take you about 30 minutes.
For the most endurant cyclists there is also the possibility to reach La Campeggia by bike directly from Milan, you can find the GPX route here.

WHAT YOU GET
A full weekend experience curated by Rayon Vert and Arc’teryx, including campsite access at La Campeggia with space to pitch your tent, shared facilities, and pool.
You’ll receive a guided 21 km group trail run with an aid station along the route, plus an 8-week training plan designed by pro runner Edoardo Rossano for 21 km and 42 km trail races.
The program also includes free meals (Saturday lunch, dinner, and Sunday lunch), workshops and talks on trail running and sustainability, a recovery yoga session with Veronica, and a curated music program throughout the weekend.
60 DAYS TRAINING PROGRAM
Together with Arc’teryx pro runner Edoardo Rossano, we’ve developed an 8-week training program to help you prepare for the event, as well as a general tool for training towards trail running half and full marathons with elevation gain, just as the season gets underway.
We will create two online groups where runners can connect, share their progress, and experience the journey together all the way to the RING OF FIRE weekend.
The training plan is designed as a seasonal preparation guide. It is based on experience rather than coaching, a reference meant to inspire time on the trails, encouraging everyone to listen to their body and enjoy the process.
In addition, the selected participants will join WhatsApp groups where they can earn digital kudos and stickers by completing weekly challenges that will be shared in the lead-up to the RING OF FIRE weekend.
